Suji Upma Recipe - A Wholesome Breakfast Recipe for a Healthy Weight Loss



Ingredients:


1-2 Cups Dry Roasted Suji

1 onion - finely sliced

Half Katori Peas

1-2 inch ginger (grated)

1 green chilly

1 Carrot Finely Chopped

8-10 French Beans Finely Sliced

Coriander for garnishing

Salt to taste

1-2 Sprig Curry leaf

Few drops of lemon


For Tempering

1/3rd tsp Mustard

1/3rd tsp Chana Daal

1 Red Chilly

1-2 tsp Peanuts

1-2 tsp Ghee


Method:

  1. Heat Ghee, put all the tempering ingredients and let them splutter

  2. Add the chopped onion, grated ginger, green chilly, curry patta and Stir it

  3. Add Green Peas, Carrot, Beans and cook them for a minute, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add approx. 600ml of water, salt to taste and bring it to a boil.

  5. cook the above ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add Suji while stirring continuously till you get the desired consistency.

  7. Close the lid and cook for 1-2 mins

  8. Add chopped coriander, few drops of lime. Mix well and Serve.
