The Bean & Quinoa Burger.



Here's a high protein, vegan burger recipe, that can be enjoyed by everyone in your family. They are healthy, and low in calories too.


Ingredients for the burger patty:

  • 2 cups Cooked Kidney Beans (Rajma)

  • 2 tsp of Flaxseeds (add a little water, and keep aside for 20mins)

  • Finely chopped Onion

  • Finely chopped Green Chillies

  • Finely chopped Coriander

  • Finely chopped Mint Leaves

  • 1 Katori cooked and mashed Quinoa

  • Salt (as per taste)

  • Cumin powder & Coriander powder (as per taste)

  • Bread crumbs

Ingredients for assembling the burger


  • Toasted burger bun

  • 1 tsp Sriracha Sauce mixed into Mayonnaise

  • Lettuce

  • Cucumber Slices


Method:

  • Mash or Grind the kidney beans into a thick paste

  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well

  • Shape them into a patty

  • Roll the patty over the bread crumbs

  • Brown the patty on a tawa, using few drops of oil

  • Once patty is done, assemble the burger.

Assembling the burger

  • Spread the Sriracha mayo on the toasted bun.

  • Put the patty.

  • Add the lettuce and Cucumber Slices, and your burger is ready.
